About Us

“Innovative and forward thinking – like the clients we serve”

ReisingerGooch, PLC was formed in 2019 by Will Reisinger and Matt Gooch, two former assistant Virginia attorneys general who know the ins and outs of Virginia’s clean energy industry. Our combined expertise in public utility regulation, energy transactions, and environmental law allows us to provide comprehensive legal services for clients navigating Virginia’s changing energy landscape.

Our firm is committed to Virginia’s clean energy future. We assist renewable energy developers, landowners, and public interest organizations regarding regulatory and business matters. A typical week for us might include negotiating a power purchase agreement or asset sales agreement for a renewable energy project; assisting a solar developer or battery storage company with an interconnection dispute; advising a landowner regarding a solar lease or option agreement; or representing a trade association or non-profit organization in a state regulatory proceeding.

We also realize that sometimes a successful outcome for a client requires a public affairs strategy, not just a legal one. We take a holistic approach to the practice of law, offering strategic advice and public affairs services when necessary to achieve a client’s goals.
