With this resource, we have attempted to summarize and explain some of Virginia’s most consequential energy statutes. Focusing on a key section of Virginia’s energy code, the guide covers topics such as the Virginia Clean Economy Act, access to competitive energy supply in the Commonwealth, and the ratemaking statutes applicable to Dominion Energy and Appalachian Power Company. The resource also includes a glossary of regulatory terms used in the Code of Virginia and State Corporation Commission filings.
